Terms and Conditions for Veterinary Services at Your Family Vets Ltd
- Introduction These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the relationship between Your Family Vets Ltd (“the Practice,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and the client (“you,” “your,” or “client”) in connection with the provision of veterinary care and services for your pet(s). By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
- Veterinary Services The Practice provides veterinary care and medical treatment for animals. Services include, but are not limited to, consultations, diagnostics, treatment, surgery, vaccinations, and emergency care. Specific services, fees, and treatment options will be discussed and agreed upon during the consultation.
- Appointment Scheduling Appointments must be scheduled in advance. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your requested time, but availability may vary. We reserve the right to modify or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, emergencies, or scheduling conflicts.
- Client Responsibility
- You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information about your pet’s health, medical history, and any ongoing treatments.
- You must inform us of any known allergies, pre-existing conditions, medications, or other health concerns affecting your pet.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your pet is safely transported to and from the practice and is handled appropriately during visits.
- Fees and Payment
- All services provided by the Practice are subject to applicable fees, which will be communicated before the service is rendered.
- Payments for services are due at the time of the appointment or treatment. We accept [credit cards,cash].
- In the case of ongoing treatment or surgery, you may be asked to provide an estimate, and payment terms will be discussed prior to the procedure.
- A deposit may be required for certain procedures, and payment plans may be available upon request.
- Cancellation and Missed Appointments
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee may apply.
- In the event of repeated missed appointments or cancellations, we reserve the right to refuse future appointments or to require a deposit for scheduling.

- Confidentiality and Privacy The Practice will maintain the confidentiality of your pet’s medical records in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. Your personal information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
- Liability
- The Practice will exercise reasonable care in the treatment of your pet. However, you acknowledge that no veterinary care or medical treatment is without risk, and we cannot guarantee specific results.
- The Practice is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions that may be aggravated by treatment or for any complications that may arise during or after treatment.
- You agree to release the Practice from any liability resulting from the veterinary care provided, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
- Health and Safety
- You are responsible for the behaviour of your pet while at the Practice. If your pet exhibits aggressive behaviour or poses a safety risk to staff or other patients, we may ask you to remove your pet from the premises.
- If your pet requires special accommodations (e.g., anaesthesia, sedation), these will be discussed before treatment, and a consent form will be required.
- Insurance
- We recommend that pet owners consider insuring their pets for unexpected medical expenses. While we can provide documentation to assist with insurance claims, you are responsible for paying for services at the time they are rendered.
- Ownership of Records
- All medical records, including test results and diagnostic information, remain the property of the Practice. You may request copies of your pet’s records, and reasonable fees may apply.
- Termination of Services
- Either party may terminate the provision of veterinary services at any time by providing notice to the other party.
- The Practice reserves the right to refuse service if you fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions, fail to pay for services rendered, or engage in behavior that is abusive, disruptive, or otherwise harmful to the Practice or its staff.
- Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the UK, and any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located within North Yorkshire.
- Changes to Terms We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to you, and the revised terms will be effective immediately upon posting.
